French Toast

Some mornings I wake up wanting a warm, sweet, fast and filling breakfast. To me french toast is the deal. You can make them in less than 10 minutes, with just a few everyday ingredients, and they are soooooo gooood.

For 1 serving (3 toast):

  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 3 slices of bread
  • Maple syrup to taste
  • Berries (optional)

In a bowl beat the egg and add the milk, cinamon, vanilla and sugar. Mix until well combined.

Soak the bread slices in the mixture until they’re saturated.

Butter a skillet and heat on medium. Cook the bread slices until golden brown on both sides.

Be sure to place a small knob of butter between each slice when stacking them for extra (and in my opinion essential) richness. Pour some warm maple syrup over them and, dig in!
